Alesha Moreno-Ramirez

Alesha Moreno-Ramirez is a California Department of Education representative on the ACS WASC Commission. Alesha Moreno-Ramírez, MA, is a spirited educator with a passion for service to culturally, linguistically, and experientially diverse scholars, families, and communities. Over more than twenty five years, she has served as a bilingual classroom teacher, migrant educator, family liaison, district coach, and county office administrator before joining the California Department of Education as Director of the Multilingual Support Division in 2021. Alesha’s portfolio includes administration of Title III, Part A and Title I, Part C educational programs and state multilingual initiatives to support English learner-classified, immigrant, and migratory students to uplift educational opportunities for all of California’s children and youth.
