Serving on an International Visiting Committee
To support our members, spread over several time zones, we have decided to move to a primarily asynchronous approach to visiting committee member training. Our visiting committee training is now in two recorded parts (Parts One and Two) and one face to face office hours session.
Please complete the visiting committee member training application form if you are interested in participating in our training program.
Prior to service on a visiting committee, WASC visitors need to have completed this training.
We continue to offer face to face trainings at regional conferences. Registration for such events are separate to this process.
We are particularly interested in applicants that have the following experiences or skillsets:
- Participation in a WASC self study at their school,
- A high level of proficiency in speaking and writing in English and another language
- Experience in bilingual education
- Participation in another agency’s accreditation process as a visiting committee member.
