Western Association of Schools & Colleges - WASC ACS - Calendar of Events/Training Schedule

The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) provides a variety of training sessions in California and Hawaii that address the needs of schools conducting their self-study reviews, and workshops that address the needs of visiting committee chairs and members. WASC also conducts trainings overseas in East Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Three-part training sessions are offered to schools over an 18-month period prior to the full self-study visit. For example, a school scheduled for a full self-study visit in spring 2006 would have part one training in November 2004, part two in March 2005, and part three in September 2005.

Visiting committee chairs of spring visits attend a one-day training workshop in October. Visiting committee chairs of fall visits meet in May.

Visiting committee members attend one-day training workshops from December through March for spring visits, or in September for fall visits. Members who have previously served on a committee need only attend a half-day training workshop.
